Job Description Wood are recruiting for an experienced Architectural Technician to join a large Middle Eastern Project working from our Reading office. You will ideally have experience of working in the Oil and Gas Sector Responsibilities Specification and coordination of process, equipment, personnel and other plant buildings. Production of architectural general arrangement, detail and other drawings using Bentley MicroStation or AutoCAD. Involvement in coordination of building design deliverables with relevant engineering disciplines. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the design and coordination of buildings under a Lead Architect. Ensure practical building design and construction proposals. Work on a variety of project types across the energy sector including energy transition and traditional sectors. Qualifications HNC in Building Technology or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technician in commercial, energy or industrial sectors. High level of proficiency in CAD design, including Bentley MicroStation or AutoCAD. Knowledge / proficiency in Autodesk Revit and / or BIM and Bentley Open Buildings an advantage. Experience of coordination activities within a multi-disciplinary environment. Able to interact professionally with client representatives. Sound UK / European and Middle East technical and building construction knowledge. Experience of energy sector client standards / industry standards an advantage. Good communication and IT skills generally.
