Attractive Salary | Based in West Yorkshire
This job post will be advertised for a minimum period of two weeks on LinkedIn. After this time please apply directly to https://joinwestyorkshireicb.org.uk/ until the closing date of 9am Monday 15 June 2026.
NHS West Yorkshire ICB is a partnership led organisation committed to improving health outcomes for 2.4 million people across Bradford District and Craven, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds, and Wakefield District. We’ve made significant progress through collaboration and are nationally recognised for our innovative practice. But we know there’s more to do; especially in tackling inequalities and maximising the impact of our investments as a strategic commissioner.
Following the appointment of Mark Chamberlain as our new Chair, we are seeking an exceptional and visionary Chief Executive to lead our organisation. Our colleagues have experienced significant change over the last 12 months as we have responded to the NHS reforms and restructured our organisation. Our new Chief Executive will join as we refocus and build on our strong legacy; engaging our colleagues, partners, patients and public as we continue to champion diversity, collaboration, innovation, and community-focused outcomes aligned with Fit for the Future: the NHS 10-Year Plan.
This is a significant and influential leadership role that will impact future health and care service provision across our diverse region. We are seeking a capable, inclusive and transformative leader with a track record of delivering at Chief Executive or equivalent level. Politically astute, you will thrive in a system leadership position that brings complexity, ambiguity and opportunity. You’ll share our values, bring broad expertise and understanding of health and or social care services, a deep commitment to social justice, and the proven ability to unite and engage a wide range of stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
We are committed to increasing the diversity of our leadership so that it is representative of the population we serve in West Yorkshire and particularly welcome applications from people with a disability, those who identify as LGBTQ+ and people from an ethnically diverse background.
This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of health and care and to reduce inequalities in West Yorkshire.
