Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate J. Sous Chef/ experianced Senior CDP to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and food preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production, and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
* Help manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
* Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
* Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen procedures.
* Participate in food production during peak service times, ensuring timely delivery of meals.
* Maintain an organised kitchen environment that fosters teamwork and efficiency.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Senior CDP/ Junior Sous Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary environments.
* Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food production and presentation.
* Ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
* A culinary qualification or relevant training is desirable but not essential.
