Are you an experienced HCPC‐registered Psychologist looking for a senior, part‐time role within forensic mental health? This is a rare opportunity to join two well‐established adult male secure services, delivering specialist psychological input while enjoying a high degree of autonomy, flexibility and clinical influence.
Your primary base will be one secure site, with planned visits to a second location approximately once per fortnight. You'll play a key role in shaping psychologically informed care, supporting both service users with complex needs and the staff teams around them.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Deliver specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for adults with complex mental health presentations
* Support staff teams in managing trauma, risk and challenging behaviour
* Facilitate reflective practice groups and staff wellbeing sessions
* Provide clinical leadership within a psychologically led service
* Supervise and support junior members of the psychology team
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team across both secure settings
* Contribute to evidence‐based service development and trauma‐informed care
What We're Looking For:
* HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical, Counselling or Forensic)
* Experience working with adults with complex mental health and/or behavioural needs
* Confidence in trauma‐informed approaches and managing challenging behaviour
* Experience supervising others or contributing at a senior clinical level
* Forensic or secure‐setting experience desirable but not essential
* Band 8a Psychologists with strong experience are encouraged to apply
