We are currently looking to recruit a permanent Coded Welder to work on a diverse range of medium to heavy Mechanical Engineering projects.
Responsibilities / Qualifications
* Applicants must be time served or able to demonstrate a competency through experience within the workplace.
* Must be proficient in MIG welding using 1.2 wire; experience in medium to heavy MIG welding, FCAW welding and qualified to ASME IX or BSEN 287 would be preferred.
* Ideal Experience:
o Experience within a fabrication environment.
o Experience in both light and heavy MIG welding.
o Qualified to ASME IX or BS equivalent.
o Coded to a recognised standard.
o MMA/FCAW.
o Ultrasonic work.
o The ability to read, understand and work to engineering drawings.
o Overhead crane operating experience.
o A high standard of safety awareness and housekeeping.
* Personal Qualities Required:
o A team player willing to assist fellow colleagues.
o A good verbal communicator.
