Children’s Support Worker – Oxford
Pay: Up to £15 per hour

We are recruiting dedicated and compassionate Children’s Support Workers in Oxford to provide care and support for children and young people with a range of complex needs. This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference to the lives of those you support.
You will be working with children and young people who may have learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, Angelman syndrome, complex medical needs, and physical disabilities. Your role will involve promoting independence, safeguarding wellbeing, and supporting positive outcomes through tailored care and behavioural strategies.
We are looking for individuals with:
Previous experience supporting children and young people with additional needs
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Awareness of positive behavioural support and de‑escalation strategies
A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to care
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
Required training includes:
Manual handling
Medication awareness
Epilepsy awareness
Challenging behaviour
Autism awareness training
Knowledge of autism
Knowledge of Angelman syndrome
