Graduate Building Surveyor
Overview
Our client is one of the largest teams of Chartered Building Surveyors in the property sector, with offices across the UK. They offer extensive experience, expertise, and local knowledge to support clients at every stage of property investment, ownership, and occupation.
They collaborate with a diverse range of clients to manage property portfolios, projects, and transactions. Due to their continued success, they are seeking a talented Graduate Building Surveyor to join their multi-disciplinary consultancy in Cambridge.
The Role
As a Graduate Building Surveyor, you will gain valuable on-the-job experience working on prestigious projects across various sectors, including residential, educational, industrial, and commercial developments.
Their client base includes large retail companies, local authorities, schools, universities, contractors, and developers, providing exposure to a diverse portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with contract administration, including attending meetings, writing specifications, procuring tenders, preparing contract documents, and conducting progress inspections.
2. Undertake building surveys, recording and summarising findings concisely.
3. Support the team on complex multi-disciplinary schemes.
4. Assist with the analysis and reporting of building defects.
5. Prepare schedules of dilapidations and negotiate settlements.
Candidate Requirements
* A Bachelor's degree (2:2 or above) in a RICS-approved discipline.
* Ambition to achieve Chartered Building Surveyor status, with full support and guidance.
