Wunderdogs is an independent creative agency with a remote-first team across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. We provide beginning-to-end strategy, design and web services to forward-thinking brands in the technology space, from startups to established companies.


We’re looking for an experienced Brand Strategist to join our fully remote team to work on a variety of projects for our clients in the U.S. and across the globe.


Overview


From re-brands to website builds, no two Wunderdogs projects are the same: if you’re a strategist with a love for tech brands, someone who thrives on variety and enjoys a challenge, our work will keep you inspired.


At Wunderdogs, we work extensively with high-growth startups and established technology organizations that demand speed, efficiency, and simple yet effective creative solutions. We work across multiple sectors, predominantly with a tech focus. Therefore, we look for those with experience in building brands within a B2B environment and often those with technical products. These are teams that seek effective solutions but a sense of flair and creative experimentation to ensure they break through in their categories.


We’re looking for a brand strategist excited by the opportunity to support our team in growing our strategy practice and elevating our work to the next level. Our ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, is a self-starter who understands the importance and impact that a strong customer-led strategy can have on creative work. We’re looking for someone adept at working in a high-paced environment and with teams of exceptionally smart, passionate (and sometimes stubborn) people - startup founders.


This role reports directly to our Head of Strategy and Creative and works in tandem with design, marketing, and client management. We are a startup ourselves, and Wunderdogs is a great place for independent thinkers who value team collaboration.


You will be joining us during an exciting time and will be working on multiple client projects simultaneously. Day-to-day responsibilities


Key work streams will include research, brand strategy, naming, verbal identity, messaging, copywriting, and foundational digital and content strategy.


* Building brands for our clients, working with frameworks and processes to get from brief to final execution
* Being a strategic partner to our clients, working with them to build the value of brand strategy to their business
* Translating complex ideas into simple stories that connect the brand and their audience
* Creative ideation, brainstorming, and workshopping, leveraging insights and audience understanding that feeds into fresh strategic recommendations.
* Supporting our clients and internal teams with copywriting and content creation.
* Working closely with design and digital teams to maintain brand strategy as a connecting thread that ties all our work together
* Briefing the design team based on the finalized brand strategy and maintaining oversight on creative development.


Requirements


* 5+ years of agency experience in brand strategy and planning roles
* Flexibility to work with US timezones - availability until 8pm GMT
* Experience working with startups and agile, high-growth clients who will challenge you every day
* A portfolio that demonstrates experience turning around, transforming, and creating brands.
* Experience conducting research, processing it into key insights, and writing creative briefs that are insightful, convincing, and inspiring
* Experience building fresh and differentiated brand messaging
* Experience with naming and brand architecture
* Ability to translate a brand story into a digital experience through creative web and content strategy
* Ability to write compelling and effective copy for websites, apps, packaging, and other collateral
* You can successfully guide work from start to finish, collaborating closely across disciplines
* You’re a skilled presenter and communicator who makes the complex simple, and can build trusting relationships with clients


Perks


* Yearly base salary £45,000-55,000
