Saab UK is seeking a Business Development and Sales professional to maintain and develop relationships with clients and customers across multiple sectors.
Role Overview
This role focuses on maintaining and developing relationships with clients and customers across various sectors, providing insight and building a sales pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and assess product development and market trends.
- Develop catchment strategies and assist in pricing competitively alongside the in‑country Customer Sales Responsible.
- Map client accounts, including influencers and decision makers.
- Enter leads and intelligence into the CRM database.
- Develop the Seaeye sales pipeline.
- Provide internal team insight regarding market pricing.
- Identify upsell and bundle opportunities across the wider Seaeye Business.
- Maintain current relationships with existing customers.
- Map opportunities for the whole product family globally.
- Grow and develop business using the WB (Winning Business) process.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Stakeholder and relationship management.
- Experience in business development and sales.
- Internal and external relationship management.
- Track record of winning high‑value technical contracts.
- Ability to understand engineering products and translate them into customer value.
- Experience working with a CRM system.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Confident presentation and communication with external clients.
Desirable Skills
- Contractual awareness.
- Experience within ROV, subsea offshore energy or defence market.
- Product knowledge of Seaeye ROVs.
- Extensive network within energy and/or defence markets.
- Experience with or understanding of work‑class ROV systems.
