We are currently looking for a proactive and organised Administrator to join our friendly Dermatology team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced healthcare environment and is passionate about supporting high‑quality patient care. The successful candidate will play a key role in the coordination of patient pathways, ensuring clinics are fully utilised and patients are seen in a timely manner. Day‑to‑day responsibilities will include booking, rescheduling and discharging patients, as well as maintaining accurate patient records and supporting with clinic planning. This role also involves supporting patients on the Urgent Suspected Cancer (USC) pathway, requiring a high level of attention to detail, sensitivity, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build effective working relationships and provide excellent patient‑focused service. We are looking for someone who is flexible, able to prioritise their workload, and confident in working both independently and as part of a team. Previous administrative experience within a healthcare setting would be an advantage.
Working Pattern: This role is for 22.5 hours per week, typically worked over 3 or 4 days. There is a requirement to work on Mondays and Fridays, with the remaining day(s) to be agreed flexibly.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative service to the Dermatology team, enabling them to maintain timely patient pathways.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner and for prioritising their workload. This role will include rota management, monitoring the patient tracking list, and ensuring that all clinics are at full capacity.

Qualifications
* GCSE English (or equivalent), Grade C or above

* Recent experience of Microsoft word processing and spreadsheet packages
* Recent experience using a database
* Recent experience working in a healthcare administration environment
* Experience of using patient administration system (EPR)
£25,760 to £27,476 a year per annum, pro rata
