RE Teacher (Secondary School)
Location: Rochdale ( St Cuthberts RC High School)
Rate of Pay: £120 - £170 daily rate based on experience
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday hours will vary depending on the school
Duration: Short term temporary role initially, but will be reviewed periodically

Job Description:
To deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons that inspire students to explore religious, philosophical, and ethical issues, develop critical thinking, and foster respect for diversity and different worldviews.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging RE lessons in line with the agreed curriculum and examination specifications.
* Support students spirituals personal, social, and moral development.
* Teach across a range of age groups and abilities, ensuring lessons are inclusive and accessible.
* Use a variety of teaching strategies to promote discussion, reflection, and independent thinking.
* Set appropriate homework and classwork to support learning and progress.
* Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development and review of the RE curriculum.
* Establish a positive learning environment with clear expectations for behaviour.
* Support students spirituals personal, social, and moral development.
* Act as a form tutor or pastoral support where required.
Professional Responsibilities
Requirements:
* QTS
* Previous Teaching Experience
* Safeguarding level 1 certificate
* Enhanced DBS
