Location: Manchester. Office-first working policy; office-first to foster collaboration, alignment, and community.

* Annual profit share (up to 4% of your annual salary)
* (OTE £90,000 uncapped commissions)
Purpose
We are looking for a results-driven Head of New Business Sales to lead our inside BDM sales team and day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in senior sales leadership in high-velocity sales environments, excellent team management skills (managing agents and managers), and a strong people management background. This role is key to achieving company sales goals while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and team performance.
You will be joining a team that is passionate about making a difference and driven to achieve targets, in a high-velocity sales environment with a high desire to help businesses succeed.
This role involves leading a large Business Development Team of 40 BDMs and two Senior Salesfloor Managers, identifying new business opportunities, demonstrating our award-winning software to prospects, and upselling HR, H&S & Payroll Software and advisory solutions to hit business sales targets and follow sales strategies.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in call centre sales leadership and an understanding of how software solutions can support business growth, efficiency & profitability, while building long-term client relationships and hitting business targets and KPIs.

Monday–Saturday (40 hours). Monday to Friday 8:45am – 5:30pm.
Day-to-day responsibilities
Sales Management
* Manage and lead a team of sales professionals to achieve business targets, following the business playbook
* Lead by doing the full sales cycle from lead generation, qualification, solution demonstration, and proposal creation to deal closing
* Follow our business compliance regulations & FCA guidelines
* Be responsible for achieving UK Business & campaign monthly & quarterly KPIs, input & output metrics for the business
* Act as a subject matter expert for Bright HR products and services to nurture your team and managers
* Nurture a coaching culture amongst your team of sales professionals and manage and lead coaching to success
* Oversee your sales development pipeline to ensure a steady flow of qualified opportunities that are up to date and compliant daily
* Work with the sales team to transition leads smoothly into opportunities and ensure high conversion rates across campaigns
* Deliver structured sales meetings, training sessions, and 1:1s to your team, as per business process
* Monitor sales floor activity to ensure KPIs (calls per agent, conversion rates, attachment rate, self-generated new business, etc.) and SLAs are met
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Managers and Team Leaders to meet and exceed sales targets
People Management
* Lead in the absence of the Director of Sales UKI across the department
* Hold difficult conversations with your team and direct & indirect reports around performance and conduct, and manage as per business policies
* Ensure that all indirect & direct reports are competent and kept up to date within the business threshold from a Training & Competence perspective
* Build strong relationships with the wider sales leadership team & senior stakeholders, sharing ideas and best practice to optimise the department and hit performance targets
* Work closely with Workforce Management (WFM) to optimise scheduling and staffing levels
* Collaborate with data enablement, training, and campaign teams to build strong performance levels
Client Engagement
* Build relationships with potential clients to understand their pain points for HR & H&S Payroll solutions
* Build effective relationships with existing customers through probing questions and referrals
* Represent the company professionally, communicating our brand, values, products & services
* Engage and communicate professionally with decision-makers at a senior level
* Stay updated on industry regulations and trends to advise clients effectively
* Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and customer success teams
* Prepare regular daily, monthly, quarterly sales reports and deep dives to enable the team to succeed in the sales pipeline or performance
* Work with the Sales Trainer to ensure development needs of all sales agents & management are met and coaching is targeted
* Provide regular performance updates to the Director of Sales on business performance trends and forecasting
* Collaborate with senior leadership to set sales strategies and execute business plans
* Analyse performance metrics and implement action plans to improve team productivity and quality
Key Requirements
Required skills and experience
* Proven experience in senior leadership roles
* Experience in B2B sales, preferably SaaS solutions
* Experience in managing people and management teams in a fast-growing, reactive sales environment
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with a proven track record of working with senior stakeholders
* Track record in managing teams to achieve targets and KPIs and delivering high-quality customer service
* Ability to demonstrate managing performance and people in previous roles
* Excellent people, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams), and contact center platforms
* Relevant certifications (CIPD / CPP / CIPP / or People management) are not required but a plus
