About DWP Digital: We are looking for a Cyber Security Risk Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. As a Cyber Security Risk Manager, you'll support the development of secure and accessible computing platforms, applications, and services used by millions of people. As part of our Security Ecosystem team, you'll be crucial in maintaining and enhancing secure solutions across projects transforming government operations. You'll leverage your knowledge in areas such as software development and site reliability engineering to keep DWP safe and compliant, translating this expertise to our project teams. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Needed:
1. Understanding of NIST-CAF, CIS V8 Critical Controls for Cyber Security, or equivalent.
2. Experience with digital projects and Agile methodologies.
3. Supporting organizational strategies for information control, advising on security controls to mitigate risks.
4. Experience working on complex IT infrastructures within a multi-supplier environment, deploying best practices and GRC tools.
5. Design, implementation, and/or operation of enterprise GRC programs and Cyber Security Risk Management frameworks.
6. Ability to educate and guide on regulatory compliance.
Assessment Process: The selection involves a personal statement demonstrating your experience and knowledge aligned with the above criteria. The panel will review your employment history, personal statement, and technical expertise to assess your suitability.
Delivery and Projects: You will quickly familiarize yourself with DWP security tools, identify controls, and recommend solutions for vulnerabilities. Collaboration with technical leads, stakeholders, and security teams will be essential to develop strategies, monitor performance, and ensure resilience, security, and accessibility of products. Building relationships with our Risk function to become a trusted advisor is a key part of the role.
