Are you an organised, detail-oriented professional with a passion for process and precision? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Assistant to join a growing, family-owned business.
This is a key administrative role within the Purchasing team, supporting the smooth operation of stock ordering and delivery processes and playing a vital part in ensuring product availability and supplier communications.
Description of the role:
Raise purchase orders and maintain expected availability dates.
Expedite orders with overseas suppliers and report delays to the Purchasing Manager.
Communicate stock availability and updates to the Sales team and address related queries.
Liaise with suppliers to gather product data for new seasonal product launches.
Maintain accurate records in the ERP system.
Manage the purchasing inbox and respond promptly to enquiries.
Run monthly performance and supplier reports.
Support the Purchasing Manager with ad hoc administrative tasks. About you:
Experience in a purchasing or administrative role preferred.
Strong communication skills; experience working with overseas suppliers desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
ERP system experience (Business Central desirable, but training provided).
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
