Im working exclusively with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Stafford that is looking to appoint aJunior Client Manager. This is an ideal role for a recently qualified accountant (ACCA/ICAEW) with experience in practice who is ready to take the next step in their career.
The role offers direct client contact, involvement in tax planning, and progression toward a full Client Manager position. Youll join a supportive, technically strong team that values accuracy, initiative, and long-term development.
The Role
As Junior Client Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Acting as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, handling day-to-day queries and supporting general tax planning in collaboration with the partners.
* Reviewing accounts prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and finalise accounts.
* Reviewing VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns prepared by in-house teams.
* Supporting and mentoring junior staff members.
* Building the skills and experience necessary to progress into a full Client Manager role.
Requirements
* ACCA or ICAEW qualified (recently qualified preferred).
* Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
* Strong technical knowledge with a practical and organised approach.
* Confident communicator with experience dealing directly with clients.
* Ambitious and proactive, with a clear desire to progress.
