The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for efficiently resolving the day-to-day mechanical and electrical maintenance issues in the plant, including reacting to breakdowns and carrying out planned preventative maintenance tasks and fault finding within a mechanical and electrical environment.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all breakdowns are kept to a minimum.
* Follow best mechanical and electrical engineering practices.
* Ensure all planned work is completed with minimal disruption to production.
* Log all work carried out on the maintenance system.
Qualifications
* Candidates will ideally be City and Guilds/BTEC trained in an engineering discipline (electrical or mechanical) or be a time-served apprentice.
* Electrical knowledge for circuitry and fault finding is essential, but applications are welcome from engineers who are biased mechanically or electrically as a robust training plan will be initiated on joining the business.
