GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a school in Stocksbridge (S36). This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher who values fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation of the past.
Responsibilities as a History Teacher:
* Deliver creative and engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5).
* Encourage students to explore historical events, concepts, and perspectives.
* Plan, assess, and adapt teaching to suit a range of abilities.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes achievement and mutual respect.
* Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the Humanities department s continued success.
Requirements for History Teacher:
* Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Specialism in History or a related Humanities subject.
* Previous teaching experience in UK schools is preferred.
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* A current enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
* A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
