Job Description
The Complaints Paralegal will be:
3. Handling complaint cases coming into the business with a high degree of autonomy
4. Investigating housing complaints matters from initial review through to resolution
5. Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather evidence and facts
6. Drafting clear, accurate correspondence and concise case summaries
7. Advising on next steps, risk points and resolution strategies
8. Managing a busy caseload effectively within agreed timescales
9. Supporting senior lawyers with documentation and case preparation
10. Maintaining accurate records, files and case management information
11. Helping ensure complaints are progressed consistently and professionally
12. Contributing to a responsive and customer focused approach across the function
The Successful Applicant
The Complaints Paralegal should be:
13. A paralegal or equivalent with proven experience in complaints handling, housing disputes, or civil litigation
14. Confident managing cases with minimal supervision
15. Experienced in investigating matters end to end and producing well structured written work
16. Comfortable dealing with internal stakeholders and external parties
17. Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
18. Able to start immediately or at very short notice
19. Ideally experienced within a housing, property or regulated complaints environment
