What we are looking for:
* Enthusiastic, passionate, and diligent individuals
* Experience of working with children with social, emotional, learning, and behavioural difficulties
* Effective communication skills
* Understanding of the importance of providing a stable environment for children and young people
* Resilience and qualities for working with children with learning disabilities as well as handling challenging behaviour that may be present.
* Ability to plan and lead shifts while ensuring needs of all young peoples are being met.
* Able to commit to a shift rota pattern and sleep ins.
* NVQ Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) or willing to work towards this
* Full UK Driving License
The role itself:
The role is full time, permanent position, working across the week and every other weekend with additional sleep ins. Typically you will do 2.5 days per week, with overtime available. As a Residential Child Care worker your purpose is to create a homely environment where the children and young people will feel secure and safe day to day. Establishing positive, safe, and nurturing relationships and unconditional positive self-regard to help promote independence, growth, and positive approach towards the young people’s everyday lives.
Duties will include:

* Staying up to date with knowledge and responsibilities within health and social care.
* Challenging unacceptable behaviour in the correct way.
