The School of Engineering is looking for a Lead Assessor to join the team and inspire the next generation of young people into the industry. Working at our Printworks Campus, you will be in a state-of-the-art environment supporting students to complete their apprenticeships and prepare for employment.

What You Will Do
1. Visit apprentices in the workplace, liaise with employers, mentors, and college teams to ensure successful completion of apprenticeships.
2. Lead and supervise a team of assessors, including managing staff performance, appraisals, and mentoring.
3. Manage a caseload of learners, organize assessment visits, and meet with employers.
4. Create and monitor individual learning plans, including Functional Skills and job training components.
5. Participate in assessment and quality assurance procedures, including Internal Verification, to meet prescribed standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
About You
1. Engineering experience, preferably in the utilities sector or related industry.
2. Experience working with young people and apprentices.
3. Minimum Level 4 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
4. Assessor's award (V1, TAQA, or equivalent) (essential).
5. Recognized teaching qualification (desirable).
