This position is within the University’s Global Engagement Team, leading on the strategic marketing for the University’s international recruitment activity, developing new and innovative ways to promote our brand and products in an ever-competitive global marketplace.
Working with key internal and external stakeholders, you will be responsible for the creation and implementation of annual operational marketing plans and take a lead in developing international marketing collateral across online and offline channels, in order to both generate applications, convert applications to enrolment and support the new student orientation process.
You will hold overall responsibility for enquiry management in the International Recruitment and Marketing team and will line manage two International Recruitment and Enquiries Assistants, supervising their daily work and providing professional support and development.

About You
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have significant experience in a marketing role, preferably in a higher education environment and/or cross culturally and be able to produce effective marketing plans and engaging content across a variety of channels. You will have excellent communication and influencing skills and the ability to use analytical skills across a variety of sources to inform marketing activity. You will be organised and flexible, with an ability to manage your own workload by prioritising and delegating where necessary. You will be able to work both independently as well as part of a team, and experience of supervising or managing staff is desirable.

Faculty/Department
The International Recruitment and Marketing Team sits within the Department of Global Engagement. The Team is responsible for the recruitment and admission of on-campus international students to the University of Northampton, and for the associated marketing for this objective. The International Marketing Team also supports the marketing output of the wider Global Engagement Team, comprising of communications to new and current international students and marketing and social media output for our portfolio of TNE partnerships.
