PRODUCTION TEAM MEMBER (Paint Shop)
Hours: Full time hours/week
Shift: AM 06:00 – 14:00 - Monday to Friday
Pay: From £12.50 per hour
Contract: Fixed-Term 3 Months (potential to be permanent)
Distinction Doors is the UK's leading composite door supplier offering bespoke, premium doors with an extensive colour palette to create wonderful entrances to people's homes.
We have an opportunity for a someone to join our production team working within our Warehouse at our site in Tankersley on a full-time (37.5 hours) basis.
The Role
Reporting to the shift team leader, this role is a critical part of the internal production line. Our paint shop is where our doors are spray painted by hand, and forming part of the paint shop team means you will provide crucial support to our professional paint sprayers, ensuring the production line flows smoothly, efficiently and consistently so that we can maintain our supply and meet our customer needs.
Full training will be provided. This role is a physical role and involves manual and heavy lifting and extended periods of walking or standing within the manufacturing site.
You will be trained in multiple competency areas and must be able to:
* Follow instruction to complete all works allocated, reporting any issues to line manager
* Report any health and safety issues and comply with standard H&S policies and principles
* Complete pre-shift checks as required
* Maintain a clean and tidy workspace and follow the 'clean as you go' rules at all times
* Understand the importance of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) & comply with PPE requirements
* Safely and competently lift, and move, doors and product as required
* Work in partnership with the Paint Team and other areas throughout the production line
* Lift doors and equipment ranging between 15-25kg
Education and Knowledge
* Manufacturing knowledge/skills are desired
* Experience within a paint shop (automotive, fenestration) are strongly desired
