An exciting opportunity has arisen at Withybush General Hospital for a Pharmacist with drive to become part of the dynamic Pharmacy Team. You will work in a supportive environment with training opportunities to build on your foundation skills and develop your expertise. You will join the dynamic admissions team providing pharmaceutical care to the Emergency Medicines Service. This is an opportunity to develop in front-door secondary care pharmacy in partnership with the Acute Medical team, focusing on clinical medicines optimisation through interprofessional review and shared decision making on presentation.
Withybush General Hospital is a busy district general hospital with approximately 240 beds, providing medical and surgical services and a well-established clinical pharmacy service that delivers high-quality care across all specialties. You will be joining a team of experienced Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, working as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver a patient-focused clinical pharmacy service in all areas, particularly in the Emergency Department and Clinical Decisions Unit as a key member of the pharmacy team.
You will have the opportunity to develop practice in a wide range of clinical areas in a small and friendly general hospital and will be supported in ongoing studies including prescribing qualifications. You will be expected to undertake the role of responsible pharmacist when working as part of the dispensary team. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Responsibilities
* Provide clinical pharmacy services to the Emergency Department and Clinical Decisions Unit, and support front-door medical care in collaboration with the MDT.
* Deliver pharmaceutical care across all areas of the hospital in partnership with pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
* Act as a responsible pharmacist when working as part of the dispensary team.
* Participate in interprofessional reviews and shared-decision making upon presentation of patients.
* Engage in clinical medicines optimisation and contribute to service development within the Emergency Medicines Service.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Qualified Pharmacist with current registration and eligible for practice within the NHS framework.
* Desirable: ability to communicate in Welsh; other language skills welcome.
* Willingness to undertake ongoing studies including prescribing qualifications.
* Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting is preferred.
