This position seeks a skilled pathologist to serve educational settings in San Tan Valley, AZ, on a full-semester contract basis. The role offers a unique split schedule, allocating 40 hours per week between two key locations: 40% at a K-8 school and 60% at an Early Childhood Learning Center.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a diverse K-8 caseload of approximately 68 students, including 15 medically fragile or multiple organ impairment diagnosis (MOID) individuals, providing specialized pathology services tailored to their needs.
* Support a preschool caseload adjusted to approximately 65 students, working collaboratively with a speech-language pathologist to ensure balanced and effective service delivery.
* Develop and implement appropriate pathology assessments and interventions in educational environments, tracking progress and maintaining accurate records.
* Collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to support student health and learning outcomes.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a pathologist, preferably with a focus on pediatric or medically fragile populations.
* Ability to manage complex caseloads that include students with diverse medical needs.
* Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
* Flexibility to work across two sites with varying student populations.
