About the role
We are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where each day brings new challenges.
Your responsibilities will include providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance. You will play a vital role in daily store operations and strive to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
Ensuring a safe environment for both staff and customers is paramount, and you will be expected to follow all safety procedures and policies.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural and great service.
* Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Applying training to work safely and effectively.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit goals.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and adhering to policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately to ensure correct payment.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment where applicable.
* Following the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions, especially at self-service checkouts.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
* Following all training to ensure safety and compliance.
* If applicable, managing the day-to-day operations of the Post Office, including passing necessary background checks.
