Senior Residential Child Care Worker – Skelmersdale
Salary: £32,061 – £36,363 per annum.
Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week.
About The Role
You will lead and support a team of practitioners, championing the care, safety and development of children with complex needs. You will implement care plans, promote education and support emotional wellbeing. You will play a central role in inspections, safeguarding and care planning and serve as a role model for best practice, integrity and compassion.
You will be responsible for leading, motivating and supervising a team of practitioners during overnight duties, including weekdays and weekends.
About The Homes
The Pause & Reflect home is a 2‑bedroom home for young people aged 11‑17. The placement will be short‑term and will require commitment to care and support during this time.
About You
* At least 3 years’ experience in children’s social care or residential settings
* Holding a QCF Level 4 or NVQ Level 3 or 4 in a relevant field
* Confident leading shifts, mentoring staff and managing risk
* Understanding of children’s legislation and safeguarding practices
* Full UK driver’s licence and access to own vehicle
