A DAY IN THE LIFE As our Financial Accountant, your work will be varied, hands-on, and central to the smooth running of our finance function. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll take responsibility for transactional processing across multiple entities, act as a key liaison with our outsourced accounting partners and drive the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls. No two days are the same; your work will vary with monthly and annual accounting cycles, it will include: Leading end-to-end finance operations : Manage the processing of transactions across UK and US entities, and ledger administration and reporting for the Group - ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Month-end accounts: Manage the full month-end process, including accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany postings - delivering accurate financial results and supporting accounts consolidation and reporting. Maintaining strong financial controls and compliance: Monitor and ensure financial controls are upheld across the Group. Prepare statutory filings, support tax submissions, ensuring robust reconciliations, audit readiness, and adherence to internal and external financial standards. Prepare year-end reporting packs and liaise with auditors to resolve queries efficiently. Coordinating with other areas of the business and external providers : Act as the key link between finance, HR, and outsourced accounting teams to ensure consistent treatment, payroll accuracy, and effective vendor and customer management. Supporting systems and process improvement : Contribute to the implementation and optimisation of new finance and spend management systems, driving efficiency, consistency, and best practice across the Group. ABOUT YOU For success in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following: Proven experience in financial accounting or a similar senior role, ideally within a multi-entity or international business (experience within a Consultancy/ time sheet led business is highly desirable but not essential) Strong knowledge of statutory reporting and group audit processes, with an eye for accuracy and compliance. Hands-on experience with multi-currency and foreign exchange processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central and familiarity with expense or credit card systems. High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines without compromising quality. A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with internal teams, outsourced providers, and auditors. A proactive approach to process improvement, helping to streamline financial controls and systems.
