Servomex is seeking an experienced Verification & Validation specialist who can independently define validation strategies, assess risk, and justify verification decisions for complex, regulated gas analytical and sensing instrumentation. This role is well‑suited to engineers from gas analysis, gas sensing or high‑reliability instrumentation environments who enjoy applying first‑principles measurement science to real products - and influencing design decisions early to ensure robust, testable systems. Hybrid: Three days onsite (five days/week onsite during induction phase) Right to Work: UK permanent eligibility required (no sponsorship) Location: Crowborough, East Sussex Salary : circa £55,000 Key responsibilities: Define and lead V&V strategies, validation plans, protocols, and full requirements coverage Perform hands‑on verification across optical, electronic, software, and system‑level functions Apply physics‑based test methods, uncertainty budgets, statistical analysis, and variation assessment Analyse complex datasets, investigate anomalies, and support root cause and corrective actions Engage early in system architecture and requirements definition to drive testability and traceability Represent V&V in design reviews, risk assessments, and assurance activities (e.g. FMEA) Mentor engineers and promote rigorous, disciplined engineering practices aligned to ISO / IEC standards About you: Strong V&V / test engineering background in regulated or safety‑critical environments Comfortable working with precision measurement systems, sensors, or analytical instruments Proven experience of delivering robust validation protocols and traceability matrices Proven ability to define verification strategy and justify technical decisions with confidence Credible, clear communicator across multi‑disciplinary engineering teams - plus experience of mentoring or leading small technical teams. Degree (or higher) in Physics, Engineering Physics, or closely related scientific discipline A full job description will be provided during the interview process.
