Sous Chef required for a fresh food gastro pub in Northumberland, this is a well known small gastro pub, using great local and regional produce. The kitchen is a team of 2 chefs (this role and a junior chef, the owner is a head chef by trade but not in the kitchen much, you be running it day to day), it a very hands on role, it means you can focus on cooking. They will offer live in for the chef and also they could do a 4 day week, if you have family to travel back to on your days off. Head chef, fresh food, 40-45k. The role As a sous Chef you will manage the kitchen, it is a hands on role and is a small pub, so they do not do sections like a larger kitchen, it all about cooking great fresh food. This Head Chef role includes all the normal hands on duty of a sous Chef in a small kitchen. Expeirence We are looking for a sous chef who can manage the kitchen (reporting into the owner who is a head chef by trade), ensure everything runs well and pre/cook. you must be a hands on chef, good all rounder and able to do anything in the kitchen. this kitchen is well known for good quality local produce. sous Chef
