Our client, a leading organisation within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Govan. This contract role, focusing on the Type 26 programme, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the construction and consolidation of units across various shipyards. Key Responsibilities: Providing commercial support to the subcontract and outsourcing team Managing costs related to construction and subcontracted elements Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and contractual obligations Conducting cost analysis and budget management Preparing and evaluating tender documents Collaborating with various stakeholders to oversee the outsourcing process Monitoring project progress and preparing detailed reports Supporting the integration of outsourced units at the Govan site Job Requirements: Experience in quantity surveying within the Defence & Security sector Understanding of subcontract and outsourcing processes Strong commercial acumen and cost management skills Excellent negotiation and communication abilities Proficiency in using relevant quantity surveying software Ability to work entirely onsite at the Govan location, with some work across Scotstoun BPSS security clearance or eligibility to obtain it Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying or a related field Contract Details: Contract duration: 6 months Fully onsite position with no remote working capability Working as part of a team of approximately 18 members Hands-on involvement in the Type 26 programme If you are a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a background in Defence & Security, and you are seeking a challenging contract role, we encourage you to apply now to join our client's dedicated team in Govan
