As an EC&I Engineer, you’ll play a key part in the full project lifecycle - from surveys and design through to installation, testing and commissioning. No two days will be the same, and you’ll have the freedom to put forward ideas, solve complex challenges and see your work through to completion.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Collaborate closely with clients to gather requirements, carry out site surveys and provide clear technical solutions.

Produce high-quality electrical schematics, cable diagrams, PLC I/O schedules and system architecture using AutoCAD.
*
Specify and schedule instrumentation and equipment to meet project needs.
*
Support feasibility and FEED studies for new projects.
*
Oversee electrical installations on site, ensuring work meets all specifications and standards.
*
Carry out FAT, testing and commissioning activities at client sites or suppliers’ premises.
*
Prepare risk assessments and method statements to maintain safety and compliance.
*
Support estimating and quoting by sourcing accurate equipment and subcontractor costs.
*
Manage procurement of equipment and services within budget.
*
Attend site and internal project meetings, providing technical input and progress updates.
*
Identify and manage project variations, costs and scope changes.
*
Drive cost efficiency and value engineering opportunities.
*
Ensure compliance with BS7617:2018, DSEAR and ATEX legislation.
What We’re Looking For:
*
HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
*
Proven experience with control panel design and build.
*
Hands-on instrumentation set-up experience.
*
Previous work in explosive atmospheres (DSEAR/ATEX) is an advantage.
*
Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, plus strong MS Word and Excel skills.
*
Flexible to travel to sites across the UK, with overnight stays where needed.
