The Lounge team is growing, we’re looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to work as part of the team in our store based in Cardiff. We’re after someone who is passionate about customer service and wants to support us in bringing Lounge to real life! This role is vital in helping maintain the close community we have created online, but in Real Life (IRL). As a pivotal role within our store leadership team, you will be responsible for helping to look after the day to day demands of the store, such as maintaining exceptional levels of customer service, inventory management, customer fittings, looking after store standards and keeping the Lounge community as your top priority. Within this role we want you to bring your own skills, ideas and experience whilst working with the rest of our retail team to build a collaborative, enthusiastic & dedicated culture to the store, ensuring that customer service remains the most important aspect.
What You Will Do At Lounge
* Work closely with the Head of Store and other management to lead a team of Store Assistants, providing guidance, support and a customer‑centric approach.
* Address customer queries, resolve issues and create an in‑store environment that aligns with the Lounge brand values.
* Lead by example with passion for our brand and champion Lounge’s values.
* Support the Head of Store in recruiting new staff, ensuring they receive full training and become valuable members of the team.
* Ensure all retail staff manage inventory levels accurately and keep accurate stock counts.
* Implement inventory control measures, including cycle counts, audits, and stock replenishment strategies.
* Monitor KPIs such as sales numbers and customer satisfaction, driving continuous improvement.
* Provide expert bra fitting, delivering professionalism and detail, while training staff to achieve similar standards.
We Would Love It if You
* Have at least 2 years of experience as an Assistant Manager in a retail environment.
* Have experience leading teams.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Understanding of visual merchandising.
* Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
* Excellent communication with people at all levels.
* Exceptional passion for delivering customer service.
* Up‑to‑date on current retail trends and best practices.
Eligibility
* You must be legally authorised to work in the UK.
* You must be over 18 years old.
* Must be able to prove right to work and related evidence.
* Must be able to travel to the store.
Availability
Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays and non‑business hours.
