Argyles Care Home, Pound Street, Newbury RG14 6AE. Assistant Chef / 2nd Chef role with 40 hours on days. Salary: £13.04 - £14.58 per hour (depending on experience). Permanent contract. Welcome bonus*.
Argyles has an experienced team of registered nurses and carers providing nursing, residential, convalescence, respite, palliative and Parkinson's care. The Tudor-style house offers a comfortable environment with lounges, gardens and en-suite bedrooms. Meals are balanced and nutritional, with catering for dietary needs and favourites. The kitchen supports themed monthly events and seasonal activities.
Joining Bupa in this role supports residents to live their best lives through person-centred care and choice. The Kitchen Team delivers meals for residents and you will join to help deliver an excellent dining experience.
Responsibilities
* Using passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied and nutritional menus in line with dietary needs and residents’ preferences
* Putting forward ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience and help residents feel at home
* Training and managing the kitchen team in prepping, cooking and serving of food
* Adhering to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, and managing orders and deliveries
* Catering for special events or seasonal activities (e.g., summer fetes, Christmas parties, birthdays) as required
