The Northern Lighthouse Board, in partnership with Forth Valley College, are offering Engineering apprenticeships to passionate and aspiring engineers. About Us The Northern Lighthouse Board is the General Lighthouse Authority for Scotland and the Isle of Man, responsible for the superintendence and management of all lighthouses, buoys and beacons within those waters. We have provided this vital safety service to mariners since 1786. The Role – Overview As an apprentice you will learn to fault-find, read technical drawings and develop trade skills associated with electrical engineering. The role involves working on a wide range of electrical and electronic equipment. As well as undertaking a comprehensive training programme with Forth Valley College you will be assigned a ‘mentor’ who will support and advise you throughout the programme. Entry Requirements You will have 4 National 5’s including Maths, English, and Physics. Highers in these subjects would be desirable but not essential. Salary and Benefits · The current pay band for an Apprentice is £18,036 per year and is reviewed annually.
