Key Responsibilities
* Teach Music across the school, from Reception to Year 8.
* Lead and organise the Music Department, including orchestras and ensembles.
* Build on the successes of pupils and staff, fostering an environment where music and singing are fun and rewarding.
* Support pupils in achieving recognised examinations such as ABRSM and Trinity College of Music.
* Be proficient in piano and available to accompany where required.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Previous experience leading a music department in an independent or comparable school setting.
* Strong knowledge of music education curricula and assessment frameworks.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff, pupils and parents.
* Willingness to undergo child protection screening, including reference checks and an enhanced DBS check.
