Are you a highly motivated individual with knowledge and experience in Environmental Protection? Do you have a passion for improving the local environment? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our Environmental Protection Team, where you can use your skills to make a real difference. You will be a key member of our team, providing technical support, advice and guidance on air quality monitoring and management, responses to contaminated land issues, regulation of Part A(2) and B activities and review of planning applications. You will develop projects, take responsibility and make full use of your technical knowledge. Opportunities to get involved with envirocrime, public health and animal welfare functions also fall within the team’s remit.
Essential requirements
* A diploma, BSc or MSc in environmental health, environmental science, pollution control, chemistry, geography or similar discipline.
* For the EHO role, EHRB Registration or Environmental Health Practitioner Registration.
* Post qualification experience in one or more specialist areas.
* Good communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to organise and prioritise.
* Assertiveness and ability to work under pressure.
* Investigative, research, analytical and critical thinking skills.
