Programme structure and progression
Within this 48‑month programme you will work towards the Level 6 Control Technical Support Apprenticeship, combining practical, on‑the‑job experience with study. The first 12 months are a full‑time residential programme at external training provider facilities or Amazon training centres, with accommodation provided if living outside a commutable distance and travel expenses supported. In later years you will work towards a BSc in Controls and Automation Engineering and an HNC/D in Electrical/Controls Engineering. You’ll support our 24/7 operation in shift patterns that include days, nights and weekends.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
* Be 18 years or over before the start date (September 2026)
* Have the right to live and work in England for the entire programme duration
* Have lived in the UK or EEA for the last 3 years
* Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the programme
* Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2026 or later
* Have at least 5 GCSEs at grade C (or 4) including Maths and English
* Three A levels (or equivalent) at C (or 4) or above in Mathematics, IT, Physics, or an Engineering related subject, OR a BTEC Level 3 Engineering qualification of 180 credits including further mathematics
* If qualifications are outside the UK, provide a UK ENIC Statement of Comparability
* Previous qualifications will be reviewed for funding eligibility; offers are subject to funding approval
* This position is a 48‑month fixed‑term contract. No qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject should exist prior to this apprenticeship
* This Apprenticeship assumes limited prior knowledge/experience in the occupation
Preferred Qualifications
* Maintenance or Engineering HNC/D qualification with PLC, automation, electronics or electrical bias
