Established in 2008, RED Engineering is an award winning company with a mission to make working in hazardous environments safer. ​ Working as a trusted partner, we have an extensive track record of delivering engineering solutions that allow our global clients to successfully complete the most challenging construction, maintenance and decommissioning projects. ​ With a Head Office and purpose built Technology Centre in Hexham, Northumberland, our core services include the design, build and testing of operational equipment for deployment in a hazardous environment. ​ We are looking for a new member to join the Operations Team supporting the delivery of projects for clients working in the Nuclear, Subsea and Renewables industries. ​ ​ ​ ​ The role: ​ Working as an integral part of an agile team, the role will be supporting the Operations Director with delivery of QHSE aspects and oversight of Facilities and Supply Chain. The role offers a degree of flexibility on hours with scope for part to full time hours to suit you (a minimum 3 days a week is expected). ​ Working days are Monday to Friday at our office in Hexham. ​ ​ Duties will include: ​ Quality ​ Supporting the Company Management System operations to ISO-9001 Coordinating use of Quality management tools (Non conformance, Corrective actions) Reviewing Client documentation Preparation of QA QC documentation (eg specifications, requirements, QP’s, ITP’s) Compilation of reporting KPI’s Co-ordination of specialist inspection services External Audit responsibilities (ISO, Client and Suppliers where required) ​ HSE: Safety reporting Supporting training function Managing COSHH documentation Managing equipment inspections and calibrations ​ Facilities: Managing planned maintenance Co-ordinating repairs and implementing improvements ​ Supply Chain: Managing current supplier documentation (approvals) Supporting identifying new suppliers and onboarding Suppler progress visits ​ ​ Who we are looking for: ​ ​ We are looking for applications with the following criteria: ​ Essential: ​ An HNC or degree in a relevant discipline Quality experience and knowledge of ISO 9001 Experience of conducting and receiving audits In depth understanding of safe working practices and HSE Management (e.g. IOSH) Experience of working with engineering supply chain for complaint delivery Proficient in IT (Microsoft suite) Details orientated Good planning, organisation and problem solving skills Task finisher Excellent written and verbal communication skills Dynamic self starter, able to work independently and within a team ​ ​ ​ Desirable: ​ Experience of the offshore and/or nuclear industries Knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices Knowledge of manufacturing processes (specifically including fabrication and machining) Experience of fabricated / machined equipment (familiar with manufacture drawings, Welding, NDT & dimensional inspections) Experience of developing and implementing policies, processes and procedures Be an active driver for continual improvement Knowledge of engineering software packages ​ ​ ​ What we will offer you: ​ Varied and interesting work Training and development that focuses on both technical and behavioural skills The opportunity to be part of a high performing, talented and motivated team A happy and vibrant working environment in the heart of Northumberland with a u nique culture that supports mental and physical wellbeing including flexible working and daily lunchtime sports activities A competitive rewards package including annual discretionary bonus and company pension Generous holiday allowance Private healthcare Electric car scheme Cyclescheme ​ ​ Start date Spring 2026 ​ ​ We are committed to encouraging further growth from diverse groups, and welcome applications from people of all abilities and currently under-represented groups. ​ ​ If successf ul for interview, we may ask for examples of work to be shown and discussed during interview. ​ ​ If you would like to work for us and you think you have what we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
