JOB TITLE: Warehouse Operative
LOCATION: Doncaster
REPORTS TO: Senior Operative/Team Leader
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (30 mins for lunch - unpaid & two 15 min breaks - paid)
Role requirements: Aislemaster Forklift licence desirable, but not essential as training will be given, but need to be willing to undertake it.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
To retrieve (and re-file) files/boxes as instructed within the agreed Service Level Agreements.
Oversee all collections and deliveries of boxes in & out of the warehouse environment.
Palletise and wrap boxes as appropriate for safe storage within the racking system (to include item logging, booking items in and scanning activities). Fork lift operation, as per personal certification.
KEY TASKS:
1. Ensure that the warehouse procedures are adhered to on a daily basis
2. Take responsibility for any goods arriving in the warehouse, ensuring that it is handled within the correct procedures. Any downloads are completed correctly and information passed to Logistics support. Share lessons learnt over past years to align and where possible enhance the current service levels.
3. Retrieve any documents/boxes in a timely manner appropriate to the individual SLA's requested by the Warehouse administrator
4. Attend and contribute to team meetings giving feedback and suggestions to resolve operational issues and enhance overall service delivery and two-way communication
5. Actively seek ongoing professional and self-development by suggesting and implementing processes for continual improvement and offering solutions to issues as they arise.
6. Ensure that the team area is kept clean and tidy and free from any potential hazards, ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
7. Undertake any other ad hoc duties as determined by the needs of the business.
8. Contribute towards continued certification of existing and any new quality standards
9. Operate Fork lift under the appropriate licence in accordance to Health and Safety requirements to maintain a safe operating environment.
