A prestigious secondary school in Kent is seeking a scholarly Library & Literacy Coordinator for a full-time role starting ASAP. This position is designed for a practitioner who loves the literary canon and wants to foster a deep love for reading and research in a calm, orderly environment.

Responsibilities

* Manage the school library, ensuring it remains a technology-rich and inspiring research hub.

* Lead literacy initiatives and reading clubs to build student confidence and communication skills.

* Curate a diverse and scholarly collection of resources to support the GCSE and A-Level curriculum.

* Collaborate with the English department on school-wide festivals of literature and creative writing.

Requirements

* Degree in a related field or a library qualification.

* A passion for literature and a commitment to maintaining high standards of academic discipline.

* Strong organizational skills and the ability to inspire a deep love for reading.

* Must have the right to work in the UK.
