Overview

Eastwood Grange School is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join our Education team now. We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistants, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their work and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.


Responsibilities

* Assist the class teacher by supporting children with their work and behaviour.
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils; act as a role model; respond to individual needs.
* Support across all key stages as required.


Requirements / Qualifications

* Previous experience supporting in a classroom setting.
* Resilience to support vulnerable children with varying emotional/behavioural needs, autism, ADHD and related challenges.
* Good communication and teamwork to relay important information to staff.
* Strong organisational skills to support educational activities.
* Caring and compassionate approach to pupil care.
* Attentiveness to understand tasks and identify areas for support.

About Aspris Children’s Services

Located in the village of Ashover in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District, Aspris Children’s Services is an independent school providing specialist education and care services, registered to take up to 60 children and young people aged 5-19 years with a range of needs including SEMH, complex needs such as attachment disorders, trauma or anxiety, high functioning ASD, PDA and ADHD. We offer a career pathway and training; as long as you demonstrate the values needed for a role, we will provide training and support to progress.
