As HEAD OF MACHINERY OPERATIONS, you'll take ownership of the systems, processes, budgets, and people that keep the Machinery Division performing at its best. You'll work at the heart of the business in our Head Office in Rosehill, Carlisle, collaborating with commercial support and senior leaders to ensure alignment with dealer standards, operational compliance, and longterm strategic goals.

THE JOB
The purpose of this role is to act as the Commercial and Operational lead for the Machinery Division, managing and developing systems, processes and transactional finance arrangements. You will directly lead the Head Office team, hold full accountability for the Machinery Sales Department budget, and drive operational excellence across the division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITITES
Operational & Systems Leadership
* Lead and manage the division's operating system (Ibcos Gold), ensuring full functionality, user support and future-readiness.
* Develop systems and processes to support changing business needs and continuous improvement.
* Champion electronic sales processes including CRM and related platforms, ensuring compliance and upskilling throughout the division.
* Oversee manufacturer platform access and system management.
Commercial Performance & Sales Enablement
* Hold operational accountability for the Machinery Sales budget.
* Provide direct support to Regional Sales Managers, including menu pricing, performance stimulation, and bonus-related reviews.
* Drive sales effectiveness through clear reporting, process optimisation, and collaboration with sales and depot teams.
* Support new depot integrations, sales inductions and operational setup.
Stock, ECommerce & Reporting
* Lead stock optimisation, requisitions and stock check processes across the division.
* Monitor and report on e-commerce stock levels, including new, used, small machinery and drop-ship orders.
* Ensure accurate, timely reporting to all key stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
* Lead, coach and develop the Machinery Admin Team, ensuring a cohesive, knowledgeable and consistent support function.
* Conduct regular 1:1s, appraisals, check-ins and performance reviews.
* Act as the central link between the Machinery Division and key Head Office functions including Finance, IT and Marketing.
* Work with the Brand Manager on demo/hire procedures and ensure live tracking of all on-farm equipment.
* Collaborate with sales and depot managers to improve and centralise internal and external haulage processes.
Compliance and Standards
* Ensure processes meet dealer standards across all brands.
* Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and codes of practice, including UFAS, FIAS and NOPS.
* Adhere to all Company and Group policies, including those related to Health, Safety and Environment.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential Skills
* Proven experience supporting and enabling sales teams.
* Demonstrable success in delivering process efficiencies across multiple departments.
* A natural communicator with strong relationshipbuilding skills across all levels.
* Inspirational leadership style with a track record of developing strong teams.
* Strong understanding of stock optimisation, writedowns and budget management.
* Proven ability to lead admin teams and manage shared capacity.
* Excellent organisational and project management capabilities.
* Collaborative working style with strong crossfunctional alignment skills.
Desirable Skills
* Experience working with AGCO, Yamaha and comparable manufacturer dealer standards.
* Experience managing dealer portals and compliance feedback processes.
* Background in developing or supporting online sales channels.
* Experience with CRM, Ibcos Gold and/or D365 systems and integrations.
