As a Administrative Assistant at Welcome Break, you’ll play a key role in providing support for our Site Finance Managers and our Operations teams across the Welcome Break network. Their role is pivotal in maintaining the strong financial control environment that is required as part of running a £300m turnover business. The role itself will report to the Site Finance Manager but will form part of the overall site operations team as they deliver the best customer experience on the motorway services network site. The Administrative Assistant will provide support for SFM, supporting with key tasks as listed below, and essentially making sure that the site is maintaining the required standards expected of the finance team. As part of this role, the Administrative Assistant will be expected to spend time at both sides on a basis to be decided between the ASFM and the relevant SFM’s. Key to this role will be the development of effective working relationships with both operations and the finance team through strong financial, communication, and coaching skills. Responsibilities Specific responsibilities for this role include the following: Reporting of site financial performance Communication and monitoring of company financial procedures Effective implementation of control processes and procedures Attending Business Unit control meetings. Collection and refilling Game zone. Collection of amenity building cash. Maintenance and refilling of site change machines. Review of weekly payroll, and amendments, (Timepoint system). Inventory/stock management Business and financial Reconciliation Production of site period accounts with accuracy & to set deadlines Audit compliance and effective implementation of business assurance activities Qualifications, knowledge and experience.
