We have an exciting opportunity for an ICA Project Technician to join the Engineering Team in Asset Delivery at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Role overview
ICA Engineering are accountable for all control and automation (C&I) assets for Yorkshire Water. As an ICA Project Technician you will work in a collaborative supportive team environment with Engineers delivering capital projects, providing advice and technical support with C&I assets. Mostly site based you will be providing project support with scoping, testing and commissioning, as well as site liaison between project and Operational Teams, ensuring compliance to H&S, Water Regulations and company standards and processes. The role will also offer the right candidate an opportunity to train and develop into other Engineering roles should they so wish or continue as a Project technician should they prefer.
Where you fit in
As our ICA Project Technician you will:
* Assist Project Engineers in the development of C&I solutions across Clean & Wastewater to improve regulatory compliance, asset resilience & ODI Performance
* Scope out ICA projects to be delivered in house or through our contract partners
* Test and Commission C&I projects (Instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, integrated systems with in house Engineers and contract partners)
* Liaise with Site Operations on RAMS, CDM activities and site access / shutdowns
* Complete ICA Workbooks including testing and assessing resilience risks
* Train & Mentor Apprentices, Graduates and others in appropriate ICA skills
* Provide support and have an appetite to learn in equal measure in a collaborative team environment
Skills & qualifications
* 5 years\' experience of integrated process control systems and automation
* Experience with PLC control systems (Mitsubishi, Rockwell, Schneider)
* Experience with instrumentation and control loops in a process industry environment
* Self motivated with the ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload
* Demonstrate a site safety culture, cyber security and process safety
* The ability to read and understand technical documents such as loop diagrams and electrical drawings
You will also benefit from having
* A recognised electrical/Instrumentation craft or technician apprenticeship
* Experience working with Functional Safety and/or in a regulatory environment
* Experience of the Water Industry or other process environment
* Experience with Operational Technology data communications
Working pattern
We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 1 day in the office per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
