You will be supporting the delivery of our various construction projects whilst working towards a SCQF Level 6 in Carpentry and Joinery, gaining the skills and experience to become a fully operational Joiner. \n\nOn site you will be working under the direction and supervision of an experienced Tradesperson, learning carpentry and joinery skills and working to specifications. \n â¢\tAssist joinery operatives in the provision of joinery maintenance and construction. \nâ¢\tTo use and maintain necessary tools and equipment in accordance with applicable codes of practice. \nâ¢\tWork towards gaining competence in a number of tasks in relation to joinery duties e.g. maintenance and new construction whilst complying with relevant health and safety legislation. \nâ¢\tAssist with the maintaining of a clean and tidy work environment always following supervisor/mentor instructions. \nâ¢\tAttend training courses and complete all required work within target timescales as set out in your individual learning plan, reviews, college timetables, tutor instructions. \nâ¢\tTo assist in maintaining a healthy, safe and secure environment and to act in accordance with Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltdâs policies and procedures.\n\nUpon completion of the apprenticeship candidates will have attained a profile of knowledge, training and experience equivalent to SCQF Level 6 with experience of a range of duties acquired through training. Successful completion of the program results in:\n\nâ¢\tScottish Vocational qualification (SVQ) in Carpentry and Joinery at SCQF Level 6 \nâ¢\tProfessional Development Award (PDA) in Carpentry and Joinery SCQF Level 6 \n\n Ideally you should have completed the 1 year Multi Trade course or similar to level SCQF Level 4 from your local College.
