A well-established motor vehicle company is looking to expand their team and is currently looking for a permanent Motor Mechanic /Vehicle Technician. You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles to a high standard, ensuring all work meets company quality and safety expectations.
Your new role
You will be required to:
* Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on all vehicle types
* Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and manual inspection
* Perform mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, clutches, timing belts, and engine work
* Prepare vehicles for sale to a retail-ready standard
* Complete job cards and record all work accurately
* Conduct vehicle inspections and report additional work required
* Ensure all work is completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
* Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be required to have:
* Proven experience as a motor mechanic or vehicle technician
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
* Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* Full UK driving licence
