1.The Department
The Aston Villa Foundation is the official Charity of Aston Villa Football Club and prides itself in being innovative in its approach to the club being used as a ‘Force for Good’.
The Engagement, Sport & Wellbeing Division brings together several departments, all of which contribute to providing a landscape of opportunities for children and young people in a variety of education, development and learning settings.
2.The Role
The Wellbeing Practitioner will play a key role in supporting the mental health and emotional resilience of children, young people and adults across the Aston Villa Foundation’s programmes. Through personalised interventions, the postholder will empower individuals to understand and manage their wellbeing, overcome barriers to personal progress, and build the confidence and skills needed to thrive. Working collaboratively with families, colleagues, and external partners, the practitioner will contribute to a holistic model of support that promotes long-term independence, safeguards those at risk, and enhances the Foundation’s commitment to creating healthier, more resilient communities.

3.The Person
The Aston Villa Foundation is seeking a passionate and motivated individual with experience delivering wellbeing interventions and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact through community and charitable work.
We’re looking for someone with:
•A recognised qualification in counselling, mental health, youth work, psychology, psychotherapy, social work, or a related field.
•Experience delivering one to one and small group wellbeing or therapeutic interventions with children, young people, or adults.
•Experience conducting assessments and developing personalised support plans.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse participants
•Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends where required.
