About the RoleThe PSV Fitter/Mechanic will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of a fleet of buses and coaches to ensure they are safe, compliant, and service-ready. Youll play a key role in keeping vehicles on the road, minimising downtime, and supporting reliable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on a fleet of PSVs (buses/coaches).
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
* Prepare vehicles for MOT and liaise with VOSA where required.
* Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
* Ensure all work meets DVSA and health & safety standards.
What you'll have
* Previous experience as a PSV or HGV mechanic/fitter.
* Recognised qualifications in vehicle maintenance (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) desirable.
* PSV licence preferred but not essential (training can be provided).
* Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently.
* Commitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanship.
