We are working with a number of welcoming secondary schools in the area who are seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to join their teams.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of education in the absence of class teachers. You will be responsible for delivering pre-set work, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising classes during teacher absences
* Delivering lesson plans and ensuring students remain on task
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Providing feedback to the teaching team on pupil progress and behaviour
* Supporting students in their learning and acting as a positive role model
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working with young people (schools, coaching, youth work, etc.) is highly desirable
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach
* A genuine interest in supporting young people’s education
* A degree qualification is advantageous but not essential
Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Right to work in the UK
* References to cover the last two years
