Job Description
Our PMO Yorkshire & Northeast team is expanding its Controls community. We seek passionate and ambitious candidates across all professional, senior professional, and managerial grades to support early careers, grow into leadership roles, and bring their skills to our communities of practice, emphasizing our value of Bringing out the Best in Everyone.
With regional growth including new Major Programmes, Projects, and Clients, we are looking for flexible, mobile Planning and Scheduling / Performance Reporting / Risk Management professionals to deliver services locally. Travel within Yorkshire and the Northeast will be required based on project needs and can be discussed during recruitment. In return, you gain access to diverse sectors such as Power, Water, Rail, Mass Transit, Local Authority, and Shipyards. You will have opportunities to use your expertise to provide bespoke solutions tailored to client needs and to develop professionally with support from our network of line managers.
Responsibilities
* Develop project cost control data structures to accurately track and manage costs.
* Establish and set the project control budget aligned with approved baselines.
* Track actual costs against control structures for internal and external expenditures.
* Monitor and control project accruals and commitments within budget constraints.
* Create project forecasts, including estimated work to complete (ETC) and estimate at complete (EAC).
* Provide accurate and timely project reports, including Earned Value Management metrics.
* Track project contingency and exposure related to risk events and residual risks.
* Monitor project change control processes to ensure alignment with baselines.
* Identify key project trends to inform future change controls.
Qualifications
A relevant degree with five to ten years of experience in project controls services for major projects or programmes.
